Returns - you ordered the wrong part or do not want the part
If you wish to return or exchange all or part of your order, the following conditions apply:
- All returns/exchanges must be initiated within 30 days. No returns or refunds after 30 days. Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
- Returns must be shipped pre-paid. That means you pay for the return shipping.
- All items must be returned in the original packaging, in original (new) condition, and must include all associated parts, manuals, or accessories.
- Shipping charges are not refundable.
- The following items are not returnable - drum shells with bearing edges cut, custom made stainless and titanium shells (or any other custom non-wood shell), maple bass drum hoops with roundovers or inlay cuts, and drum wrap that is cut from a full sheet or has PSA applied.
To start the process:
- Email us your name, invoice number (or sales order number), and the specific items you are returning.
- We will email you an RMA, or Return Material Authorization form showing the items being returned and the amount of the potential refund.
- Return the parts along with a copy of the RMA to our address on the RMA.
- All returned parts are subject to inspection per item #4 above. If the item shows signs of use or installation, no credit will be issued. We will ship the item back to you and charge you shipping plus a handling fee of $5.00.
- Once the return is approved, you will be emailed a credit.
Exchanges - you want to return some parts and exchange them for different ones
In this case the process is really 2 separate transactions:
- You must initiate a return as outlined above, then
- Place a new order for the parts you want.
Damaged Shipments
If a shipment arrives damaged, you must call or email us within 7 days of receipt. We will do everything we can to resolve this with the carrier.
However, this is important: you MUST take digital pictures of the damage and email to us. You must ALSO have the package available for a representative from the carrier to inspect. In other words, DON'T throw away or modify the evidence! If you do not save the packaging in exactly the same condition it arrived, it is possible you will not be compensated for the damage and/or the items will not be replaced free of charge.
Defective Items or Drum Foundry makes a mistake
We want you to be totally satisfied with the quality of product we sell. We also like to send you the right items! If we messed up, we pledge to make it right as quickly as possible. We will issue you an RMA and a return shipping label, and send you the correct parts right away. Please call or email us with your name and invoice number.
Cancelling Orders
- If you need to cancel an item, please call us at 1-877-812-0195.
- If the order has shipped, it will be processed as a return (subject to restocking fees).
- Non-returnable items that are finished or in process but not shipped cannot be cancelled.
Canadian Customer Terms and Conditions
In an effort to keep your cost of importing as low as possible, our standard shipping method is by US Postal Service Priority Mail International, but FedEx is available. All Canadian shipments are subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Tracking with US Postal shipments is very limited. Delays at the CANADIAN border or CANADIAN customs office are common around holidays.
- Claims for loss or damage must be processed according to the process explained above.
- Shipping by FedEx Ground is also available. In some cases the size of the package may require shipment by FedEx Ground. We will contact you if this is the case.
- All duties, fees, and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. In the case of FedEx shipments where the buyer refuses to pay the FedEx fees, Drum Foundry is charged back these fees from FedEx. In this case, Drum Foundry will automatically charge these fees to your credit card along with a $10 service fee. If we are unable to collect these fees, Drum Foundry will suspend your account until all fees are paid in full.
- Due to complicated international shipping regulations, the shipping rate shown during checkout is only considered a close estimate. If we find the actual charges to be higher due to the package size, package weight, or other variable, we will charge the additional amount to your credit card. If the additional amount is 50% or less of the estimate shown below, we will automatically charge your credit card. If the additional amount is more that 50% of the estimate below, we will contact you first. By purchasing from Drum Foundry you agree to these terms.
International Customer Terms and Conditions
As the customer, you are importing goods into your country. Importing can be expensive and complicated. Please read the following conditions very carefully to make the process as smooth as possible.
- Tracking with US Postal shipments is very limited. We cannot be held responsible for shipment delays once the package leaves the US.
- Claims for loss or damage must be processed according to the process explained above.
- Due to complicated international shipping regulations, the shipping rate shown during checkout is only considered a close estimate. If we find the actual charges to be higher due to the package size, package weight, or other variable, we will charge the additional amount to your credit card. If the additional amount is 50% or less of the estimate shown below, we will automatically charge your credit card. If the additional amount is more that 50% of the estimate below, we will contact you first. By purchasing from Drum Foundry you agree to these terms.
- US Postal shipping has limits on size according the country of destination. For many countries the largest box we can send by US Post is 20 x 20 x 20 (inches). Shipment of bass drum shells and other large objects must go by FedEx. IMPORTANT - even if during checkout an option for US Post is available, large objects like bass drum shells will require FedEx and the shipping cost will be more.
- All duties, fees, and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. Drum Foundry cannot advise you on the costs of importing into your country. Please contact the appropriate agency in your country.
Credit Card Authorizations and Charges
An authorization on a credit or debit card is a hold against your bank's credit card spending limit. When the goods are shipped, a charge for the total amount of the order shipped will be sent to your credit card bank. Your bank should release the authorization when the charge is received. A charge is the only time a transfer of funds is completed; an authorization is not a transfer of funds. In some cases when the order ships more than 30 days after the original order, we may need to reauthorize the card that you originally used. Sometimes the bank releases the authorization after 30 days. For large orders we may call you to confirm the validity of the order and request some security information. This is for your protection.
