This handy drill bit should be in every drumbuilder's tool box.  Our step drill bit can be used for drilling holes in wood, stainless steel, aluminum, and acrylic drum shells.  No backer board needed when drilling wood shells with this bit - MINIMAL TO NO TEAROUT!

This bit has a 1/4" shank and will drill 3/16" to 1/2" diameter holes in 1/16" increments. The length of each size step is 3/8".
