Drum Foundry shells are cut to the size of your choice and the edges are sanded flat, ready for bearing edges. 8 ply Keller Maple bass drum shells are approximately .2 inches or 5.2 mm thick. If you choose to have us cut the bearing edges, we put a broad roundover edge that will enhance the fundamental pitch.
