Drum Foundry shells are cut to the size of your choice and the edges are sanded flat, ready for bearing edges. 10 ply Keller Maple bass drum shells are approximately .26 inches or 6.8 mm thick. If you choose to have us cut the bearing edges, we put a broad roundover edge that will enhance the fundamental pitch.
